Our Story

Human Balance and Stability (HBS Systems) was formed in 2016 by Cathy and Jerry Sitek, owners and operators of a machine shop with thirty-five years of experience in toolmaking and hands-on engineering. Over the years, they experienced back pain, foot pain, and fatigue, which severely impacted their performance and productivity. After struggling with musculoskeletal injuries and fatigue, they explored various methods to find relief, including more frequent breaks, ergonomic solutions, changing shoes, and using stools. They discovered that locked hip standing was the root cause. Realizing they needed a solution to relax the body and unlock the hips, they engineered and built a prototype. Within days of using what is now the StandRite-Pro, they started feeling less pain and fatigue, and their bodies began building the core muscles needed to stand correctly, preventing musculoskeletal injuries as they worked.
