Stand Strong with StandRite-Pro: Boost Heart & Brain Health

Anatomical view of the body’s structure, emphasizing the importance of joint flexibility to prevent locked knees and hips when standing.

Many people overlook the significant impact of standing fatigue on their daily lives. If there’s a way to stand smarter and protect our bodies from awkward standing posture, it lies in controlling postural sway and allowing our muscles to work more efficiently. With solutions like StandRite-Pro, we reduce the strain that leads to fatigue and injury, keeping our bodies balanced, comfortable, and healthier over time. This is where the impact of standing fatigue becomes apparent.

The Overlooked Issue of Standing Fatigue

Since kinesiology is the study of the mechanics of body movements, and ergonomics is the study of people’s efficiency in their working environment, therefore it’s easy to understand why pain and fatigue from static standing have been overlooked for so long. We have collectively missed, and even dismissed, the damage and cost that occurs when we stop moving. Instead, we focused on ways to remedy inefficiency in humans, but all we ever had to do was provide balance and stability.

Postural Sway: The Root Cause

Furthermore, when humans stand under the force of gravity, we experience postural sway. As we do, our muscles, tendons, and fascia continuously adjust to maintain balance. This leads to tension, inflammation, and fatigue… until we sit down or fall down. Either way, the same thing happens when we control that postural sway. Our body has a chance to stop working so hard to maintain balance. For example, we use chairs at home, beds at night, and lean on whatever we can find during the day.

How Locked Knees and Hips Exacerbate Fatigue

However, when we lack control over our body’s sway, we instinctively lock our knees and hips in an attempt to feel more stable. We understand that deadlifting with locked knees places excessive strain on the lower back, so why would repeatedly reaching and lifting with the same posture be any less damaging? The impact is often invisible, yet it’s undeniably harsh. Consequently, this pattern accumulates, leading to lasting wear and tear, ultimately leaving us physically compromised.

StandRite-Pro: A Solution for Standing Fatigue

So, if chairs, beds, and walls control postural sway so we can rest, and if flexing our knees and hips reduces back injury, what would happen if we controlled sway while standing? What if we enabled flexed knees and hips in that simple solution? By understanding the causes of standing fatigue, and using solutions like the StandRite-Pro, we can greatly improve our standing experience.
